Design is too important to be left to designers

Design culture. The best outcome is when everyone in the company cares about the user, about their needs and wants. That surely implies understanding, and empathy.

It is the designer’s job to communicate.

Design is like reading and writing. If coding is being taught as an essential skill, design should be taught the same, if not more. Design goes far beyond software. The world needs more of it. And just to be clear, I don’t mean whimsical, looks great but how do I use it kind of design, but design that works on all levels, that addresses real needs, and enables people to do what they could not do otherwise.
